Located at the top of Cabbage Hill, east of Pendleton, Griffin Construction built a new maintenance facility for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). This facility acts as the Agency’s home base for highway maintenance on Interstate 84 through the Blue Mountains. ODOT’s existing facility was aging to the point of non-use and that sparked the need for a new facility to better serve the eastern end of the state. Griffin Construction worked through multiple winters in weather reaching to negative temperatures to turn over this building ahead of time. At the end of the project, we were able to move the State into the facility a month ahead of schedule. The overall project consisted of a 27,000SF steel building, acres of sitework and utilities and a new 2000SF fuel island. This was another high quality project built to last by Griffin Construction
