This project is a new roughly 60,000 SF luxury hotel located at Pronghorn Resort in Bend, OR. The structure is a three-story wood framed building, half over crawl space and half over concrete SOG construction. The parts of the building that are crawl space are being built over an existing lava tube that had been improved to support the building load, and the crawl space was created to unload the tube of the soils weight. The foundation of this building was probably the most technically challenging to construct due to the lava tube and the engineering requirements. The skin systems include stone veneer and two tone prefinished hardie lap siding. The roofing consists of sheet metal, TPO, and asphalt shingles. The finishes will be high-end in this hotel, which include full tile shower, tile flooring, high-end cabinetry and countertops, and the use of hardwoods throughout. The site will include extensive landscaping, unit pavers, sidewalks, a parking lot, and two spas.
