NeighborImpact Food Distribution Warehouse
back to portfolioWe at Griffin Construction were excited to win the bid on this special project for our Central Oregon community. NeighborImpact serves Central Oregon, from Bend to Warm Springs and distributes about 4 million pounds of food per year. With increasing need in the community, NeighborImpact required a larger food distribution warehouse. This larger, more modernized space will help them store and distribute both dry shelf-stable foods, along with produce and perishables. Complete with a freezer large enough to operate a fork lift in, loading docks for large truck loading in the back, offices, as well as large training rooms where they intend to offer canning and other educational classes, this space is a major upgrade from the much smaller space they were previously operating out of.
This facility is approximately 10,681sf and required site work, grading, roads work, concrete, pre-fab steel structural work, and more. We completed this facility in about 1 year, and on budget. We are proud to have had the opportunity to partner with NeighborImpact to play a vital role in helping serve the essential needs of our local community.
