Responsibilities

This position is based out of our main Prineville Office but travel to all Griffin Jobsites is required.

Oversee construction projects from safety conception to completion

Review the project safety plans

Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with safety regulations

Coordinate construction workers and subcontractors regarding safety practices

Review the work progress on daily basis onsite

Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to safety

Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks regarding safety practices

Qualifications
Four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or safety concentrations preferred but not required

5+ years’ experience in construction, 2 years as acting Safety Manager preferred

Previous experience in a safety management role with the ability to execute proper paperwork and/or simultaneously make field/site visits

Take initiative and seek responsibility

Foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain top safety standards

OSHA 500 preferred

CHST or CSP preferred

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
